The social media space has once again been thrown into chaos following a disturbing revelation by a young woman, Queen Akeredolu, who came forward with shocking details of an alleged brutal assault she suffered at the hands of Eyitayo Idowu, popularly known as Thayor B, the wife of Nigerian entertainer Adeyemi Idowu, widely recognized as YhemoLee. The incident, which took place on Saturday, September 6, 2025, in Lekki, has since raised eyebrows, sparked heated debates, and fueled conversations about domestic violence, assault, and the dangers of unfounded accusations in relationships.
According to the victim, Queen Akeredolu, she had worked with Eyitayo in June 2025 on a professional project where she was commended for her excellent delivery and professionalism. Eyitayo, according to her, was pleased with the job done and had promised to engage her again for another project, this time for the design of her store. Queen revealed that she had no reason to suspect foul play when she received a message from Eyitayo via Snapchat inviting her to a particular location in Lekki which she described as her store. Believing this was business-related, Queen honoured the invitation and even went with one of her staff members to help her take account of the project.
The story, however, took a dark and terrifying turn the moment Queen arrived at the location. In her detailed public statement, she disclosed that upon entering the apartment, she was met not just by Eyitayo but also by four other women, later identified as her sister and three friends named Tiwa, Treasure, and Funke. Things seemed relatively normal at first until her staff was asked to wait outside, under the guise that the women inside probably needed to change their outfits. Innocently agreeing to the request, Queen allowed her staff to step outside, unknowingly leaving herself vulnerable.
The moment her staff exited the room, Queen says Eyitayo and her friends pounced on her viciously, beating her with objects such as belts while accusing her of having an affair with Eyitayo’s husband, YhemoLee. She described the horrifying ordeal as a near-death experience, recounting how her life flashed before her eyes as she was helplessly overpowered, ripped of her clothes, beaten, stepped on, and humiliated while pleading for mercy. She further explained that during the assault, Eyitayo continuously muttered words inferring that Queen was having an intimate affair with her husband, a claim she insists is absolutely false and without basis.
In addition to the physical violence, Queen revealed that her attackers destroyed several of her belongings, including her iPhone 16 Pro Max, iPhone 15 Pro Max, wig, prescription glasses, Zara t-shirts, and other personal items she had brought to the meeting. The incident not only left her physically bruised and emotionally traumatized but also stripped her of her dignity as she was left half-naked by the women who carried out the brutal act.
In a heartfelt statement released to the public, Queen categorically denied any form of inappropriate relationship with YhemoLee, stressing that her only involvement with him and his wife was strictly business-related. She maintained that she is a professional woman with integrity and dignity who has always gone about her business without scandal. According to her, the allegations of infidelity were baseless, defamatory, and completely damaging to her reputation, and she has instructed her legal team to take up the matter to ensure justice is served.
Queen expressed her deep disappointment that such unfounded rumours and acts of violence were targeted at her when all she has ever done was to provide professional services to the family. She further called on blogs and media outlets to desist from spreading defamatory rumours that may continue to tarnish her image and instead allow the legal process to take its full course.
Her words were emotional yet firm: “I admonish blogs and media platforms to desist from spreading defamatory rumours about me. I do not have any unexplainable relationship with Mr Adeyemi Idowu ‘YhemoLee’. I offered my service to their family and have been in touch with both husband and wife regarding the next project (her store) which she promised to hire me for. I am just a businesswoman going about my daily business professionally and with dignity. I believe that justice will prevail against Mrs Eyitayo Idowu ‘Thayor’, her sister and three friends (Tiwa, Treasure, and Funke).”
The incident has since attracted massive reactions from Nigerians across social media platforms. Many have condemned the assault as barbaric, inhumane, and an outright violation of human rights, insisting that no suspicion of infidelity should justify such a violent response. Others have raised concerns about how women, in cases of suspected infidelity, often direct their anger toward the alleged third party rather than holding their partners accountable. The issue has also opened up conversations around toxic jealousy, domestic abuse, and how unchecked rumours can lead to devastating consequences.
Meanwhile, legal practitioners have weighed in on the matter, emphasizing that assault and malicious destruction of property are serious offences under Nigerian law, and those involved, if found guilty, could face significant legal consequences. Many argue that beyond the criminal aspect, the case also has a strong civil element, as Queen could sue for damages over the physical, psychological, and reputational harm caused to her.
The role of YhemoLee in all of this has also sparked debates, with some questioning whether he had any prior knowledge of his wife’s intentions. Others have demanded that he come forward to make a public statement to clear the air and possibly take a stand against the violence carried out in his name. As of now, YhemoLee has not issued any official statement, leaving the public to speculate on his stance regarding the incident.
For Queen Akeredolu, the road to recovery is not only physical but also emotional, as she struggles to come to terms with the trauma of being lured into what she thought was a business meeting only to be ambushed and assaulted. She admitted in her statement that she never prayed anyone would have to undergo the kind of pain, humiliation, and inhuman treatment she endured. Nonetheless, she expressed faith in the legal system and her legal representatives who, according to her, are already on top of the case to ensure justice is not only served but also seen to be done.
As the case continues to be investigated by the authorities, Nigerians and the entertainment community are watching closely to see how events unfold and whether justice will indeed be delivered. The incident has become a chilling reminder of how easily jealousy, suspicion, and lack of communication in relationships can spiral into violence, dragging innocent parties into harm’s way.
At the heart of the story lies Queen’s unwavering declaration: “I don’t have any unexplainable relationship with YhemoLee.” Those words now stand as her battle cry against what she described as a false, defamatory, and dangerous rumour that nearly cost her her life. Whether justice will vindicate her and punish her alleged attackers remains to be seen, but one thing is certain: this shocking incident has once again ignited urgent conversations about violence, trust, and accountability in relationships within Nigerian society.
