busterblog - BREAKING: Hollywood Legend Michael Madsen, Star of Reservoir Dogs and Kill Bill, Dies at 67

Hollywood has lost one of its most iconic and gritty screen presences. Michael Madsen, the gravel-voiced actor revered for his unforgettable performances in Quentin Tarantino’s Reservoir Dogs and Kill Bill, has died at the age of 67.

Sources close to the family confirmed that Madsen was found unresponsive in his Malibu home early Thursday morning, July 3, 2025.

Paramedics arrived at the scene but were unable to revive him. Authorities have stated that cardiac arrest was the likely cause, and no foul play is suspected.

Born in Chicago on September 25, 1957, Madsen carved out a legendary Hollywood career spanning over four decades. He rose to fame as the unforgettably menacing “Mr. Blonde” in Reservoir Dogs (1992) and later captivated audiences as Budd in Tarantino’s Kill Bill series.

His rugged charm and brooding intensity became his trademark, earning him roles in over 300 films, including Donnie Brasco, Thelma & Louise, and The Hateful Eight.

Beyond film, Madsen lent his voice to iconic video games like Grand Theft Auto III and Dishonored, cementing his place in pop culture across generations.

In recent years, Madsen had turned to poetry and was preparing to publish his latest collection, Tears for My Father: Outlaw Thoughts and Poems, with a foreword written by longtime collaborator Quentin Tarantino.

He had also been working on several indie film projects and was slated to appear in the upcoming Cookbook for Southern Housewives.

Sadly, his personal life was not without heartbreak. In 2022, Madsen lost his 26-year-old son, Hudson, to suicide — a tragedy that deeply affected him.

He divorced his longtime partner in 2024 but remained close to his other children, including actor Christian Madsen. His sister, actress Virginia Madsen, has expressed deep sorrow, calling him “a deeply complicated and fiercely loving soul.”

Tributes are already pouring in. Fellow actors, directors, and fans across the world are celebrating Madsen’s unforgettable performances.

Reservoir Dogs co-star Harvey Keitel described him as “another great American poet,” while actress Vivica A. Fox said, “His on-screen presence was raw and rare. We’ve lost a legend.”

Madsen’s death marks the end of an era — the loss of a cinematic outlaw whose every performance left a mark. His voice, his stare, and his unfiltered presence will never be replicated.

Rest in peace, Michael Madsen. 🎬🕊️
